VR Surat celebrated the 9th season of “Glam Garba 2023” in grand style. “Garba ni Raat, Glam Garba ne Saath”. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as we embraced the vibrant and joyous festival of Navratri. The décor was a visual delight, perfectly capturing the essence of Navratri. We were honored to have the talented artist Veena Parasher and an outstanding live band who kept the energy high. However, the real stars of the event were our wonderful customers. Your festive spirit and enthusiasm made this event truly memorable.
9th edition of Dumas Art Project was organized in association with "Yuj Art Foundation" with the intent of supporting budding artists in Photography, Bottle Art, Macrame, Pottery, etc. The inauguration was done by Honorable Home Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Harsh Sanghvi. "Dumas Art Bazaar" was organized as a part of the event to support artisans for their handmade footwear, Jewellery, apparel, handcrafts, etc. An “Art Gallery” was created to highlight the creative talents in association with SCET students. For Photography enthusiast 4th edition of “Gujarat in Focus” exhibition was organized as a part of DAP 2023.
VR Surat installed a 40ft tall Christmas tree which is the "Tallest Christmas Tree” in Gujarat and was the most clicked and tagged Christmas tree on social media with over 1M interactions across all social media platforms for VR Surat. We curated a unique experience for the patrons by creating Gujarat’s first Artificial snowfall. The campaign witnessed an incredible engagement from patrons who shopped their heart out during the campaign with a ShopNGrab attraction, assuring shoppers win vouchers. International artists were invited to perform for the Christmas day celebration wherein a band of violin artists performed and along with this we organized a Meet & Greet with Santa Claus. Other attractions enhancing the celebration were Moving Magician, Santa Parade for Children and their parents, teddy visit by Hamleys.
Delightful Diwali Campaign was launched in line with Diwali celebration with ShopNWin campaign and décor to match the Diwali vibes. A Firework Show was organized for the very first time in VR history and the moment was a mesmerising one for everyone present and was applauded by all our patrons.
8th edition of Glam Garba was celebrated with the theme of “Navras Wahi Hai, Nau Rangon Mein Baat Nayee Hai” wherein the celebration was planned with a new colour theme every day during the 10-day celebration of Navratri. The celebration saw the enthusiasm and active participation from Surties dancing to the tunes of Deep Orchestra and enjoying garba till they had energy to dance.

VR Surat aimed to fulfill yet another resolution – Shopping! The year started with ‘Flat 50 Sale’ for a couple of days in the first week of Jan that had households names like Zara, Forever 21 United Colors of Benetton and many others which offered 50% off on their merchandise. The prizes distributed every hour was the cherry on the cake and shoppers who billed over Rs. 10,000 got a chance to win the mega prize, an all-new ‘Renault Kwid’.
The month of December brought with it – the VR Surat Christmas Jalsa. The Centre was decked with festive baubles, twinkling lights and a giant 45 ft Christmas tree that welcomed enthralled patrons. That’s not all, VR Surat was also all set up for a much-anticipated visit from Santa Claus, who landed at the Centre on his sleigh on the 25th of December.
VR Surat hosted Sunburn, Asia’s biggest music festival at our massive Festival Park. The entire area was lit up as DJ Kash kickstarted the evening making crowds groove to his electronic sounds and progressive beats. The festival was headlined by the much lauded queen of hip hop and trap, DJ Teri Miko.
October brought with it a crackling Dilwaali Diwali packed with lots of shopping, musical celebrations, creative workshops and much more. Adding to the excitement, VR Surat also organized “Brandopoly” – the ultimate game for all our shoppers to win massive discounts on their favourite brands.

April saw the fifth edition of Dumas Art Project that brought with it a host of activities. The month-long extravaganza was packed with an interesting line up of artsy events – installation art, a photography initiative – #SuratINFocus, Live Sand Art, the Basement Art Project, Children’s Art Competition, an animated movie screening and a Community Library.
The fourth edition of Glam Garba was the most enjoyable event of the year for everyone, people came, danced their hearts out and experienced the best Garba of the city at their favourite destination #VRSurat.
